Kathmandu is situated on the Kathmandu Valley, and is the largest and capital city of Nepal. 2. Colombo, Sri Lanka
Colombo is the financial and commercial center of the island country of Sri Lanka. This is one Asian travel destination that you should consider. 3. Cebu, Philippines
When we speak of The Philippines, most travelers would think of Manila. But it is true that there is more to Philippines than just Manila. And one of the Asian travel destinations is Cebu City, in the southern part of the archipelago.
Cebu is dubbed as the Queen City of the South and is the 2nd biggest metropolitan area in the Philippines. But unlike its northern counterpart, Cebu is not as hectic as Manila and you can get around places like the Magellan’s Cross and Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino. And just a drive away is the beautiful beaches perfect for rest and relaxation.
4. Nantou, Taiwan
The only landlocked county in Taiwan is Nantou. It is a favorite among the travelers because of its mountainous environs. Come here and you will experience hoe it feels like living the Thao tribe way (Thao tribe is one of the original aboriginal tribes of Taiwan). When you get here, you shouldn't forget to visit the Sun Moon Lake, and sample their world famous Oolong tea.
5. Amman, Jordan
It may not be that obvious if you are going to see it from above, but wait until you land and set your feet on the capital city of Jordan. This place which is built of white stone is swarmed with great culture, ancient and modern architecture, and friendly people. Make sure to visit places like the Citadel, the Roman Theatre, and stroll along Rainbow Street.
6. Osaka, Japan
Japan does really live up to its expectation that it is one of the most Surprising and thrilling destinations in the world. But let's forget about Tokyo for we are going to Osaka, the third largest city in this Asian archipelago. It may be not as active as the capital, but one can really discover the city's true character if you are willing to know it more.
If you are in Osaka, visit the iconic Osaka castle. It is an old Japanese castle that has been turned into a museum. And you can also visit the second biggest theme park in Japan, the Universal Studios Japan.
